PUTTING THE PROS AND CONS ON THE SCALE
Here at Stoner Savior, we know as well as anyone that Stoners have come a long way. In the last few years, we've made so much progress with policies surrounding cannabis. If you had walked up to somebody in 1993 and told them weed would be legal in several states within a few decades, they'd probably ask what you're smoking and where they can find some. But here we are, walking into storefronts and paying taxes on something that thousands of people are still locked up for. Yeah, we may still have some work to do, but education is often the first step.
So, as we learn more about cannabis, we also learn more about its versatility. More and more people are looking for different ways to consume, and it seems like the possibilities are endless. Therefore, it's important to call out myths when we see them so everyone can be confident in their chosen method. For example, let's talk about hemp wraps. How are they different from tobacco wraps? Do they have different effects? Are they healthier? The truth is, it's complicated.
Firstly, the main difference between hemp wraps and the traditional blunt wrap is the presence of tobacco. Most people know that blunt wraps are made from tobacco leaves and hemp wraps are made from -- you guessed it, hemp. As a matter of fact, hemp is used in the production of several other everyday items like clothing, food, rope, and more. Compared to tobacco, hemp wraps are more natural and provide a purer high. So yes, hemp wraps ARE healthier than tobacco wraps. However, that doesn't mean that they are healthy in general. Even though cannabis and hemp often have anti-carcinogenic properties, smoking can still have less than positive effects on your lungs. This is an important distinction to make for those seeking healthier consumption alternatives such as joints, bongs or dabs.
Another common misconception lies in the idea that the tobacco improves your high. This is unfortunately not true. The nicotine in the tobacco has its own effect entirely, acting independently of the cannabis. So, if you prefer blunts because they provide a different high, that means you're actually enjoying that slight nicotine buzz (and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that!). Traditionally, tobacco wraps tend to burn slower than hemp wraps, but as technology has improved so has the quality and standards for hemp wraps allowing them to rival even the slowest burning tobacco wraps!
So why choose hemp wraps over traditional blunt wraps? Well, it's 100% your choice in the end, just remember that hemp wraps are better for your health in the long run and usually have a wider range of intriguing flavors. While they might be slightly harder to roll, a little practice will have you rolling pearls in no time, and our cannabis purists out there will undoubtedly appreciate the experience offered by hemp wraps.
Thanks for reading, and we hope this helps inform your decision the next time you're thinking about rolling one up. Until next time, see you in orbit Stoner!
